Beret Flash, 28th Infantry Detachment (Pathfinder) (Airborne), Type 1, A-4-9 / A-6-5

28th Infantry Detachment (Pathfinder) (Airborne), Type 2, A-4-9 / A-6-5
28th Infantry Detachment (Pathfinder) flash from the PA NG. That dark blue flash was never worn /used by the unit. The original was the same design , but in light Infantry blue, not dark blue. These dark blue ones were made by a Company in Florida from the IOH design. The unit did not want the dark blue, so when they ordered them , they had it changed to light blue. And, the flash and oval was actually only worn for a few weeks and the unit was de-activated. I got  an original set the day they came to the unit, as I was the Army Advisor to the PA NG State HQ at the time the 28th Pathfinders existed. So while the dark blue color follows the IOH approval, it was never worn by the unit. Sharing a little history with you. So any you buy, not original.

Thank you George
