Description/Blazon
On a blue disc a white five-pointed star, one point up, bearing five orange flashes
radiating from the center to each point, the disc 2 inches (5.08 cm) in diameter.

Symbolism
The star represents the North Star and with the radiating flashes depicts the unit's home station in Alaska and its mission of communication with all parts of the world. The colors orange and white are for the Signal Corps.
Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 22 January 1954. It was amended to add the dimension of the insignia on 2 February 1954. The insignia was rescinded on 13 May 1963.
