Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a hexagon 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in height and 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width overall, per fess enhanced with green above a yellow fess embattled and scarlet below with a white pale surmounted by another ultramarine blue, overall a yellow demi-spear palewise; all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border.

Symbolism

Gold is emblematic of honor and excellence. The benzene ring signifies the Chemical Corps and the embattlements with the scarlet, the Engineer Corps. Scarlet is also the color of valor and zeal. The Military Police Corps is represented by the color green and the pike or spear which was used in ancient times to provide security to all. The blue column edged on either side with white refers to the Columbia River, the life line of creation for all within the Pacific Northwest and is where the organization is to be established.

Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally approved for the 301st Combat Support Brigade (Maneuver Enhancement) on 26 April 2007. It was redesignated for the 301st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade on 1 February 2008. (TIOH Drawing Number A-1-924)
